Don’t skip a beat, donate to Team Heart Throbs!

Walk for Amazing is a time for Children’s Minnesota employees to come together to support the most amazing people on earth, kids!

Team Heart Throbs is a group of physicians, nurses, echosonographers, electro-physiology techs, and administrative staff from the Children’s Heart Clinic raising funds to support the cardiovascular program at Children’s.

“Walk for Amazing brings the clinic together,” said Kristin Hoen, team captain and manager of the heart clinic. “It’s a lot of fun to work with my colleagues to find creative ways to raise money, and I love having the opportunity to help the patients and families we see every day.”

Team Heart Throbs hit the ground running with their fundraising and team recruitment. With about a month until the event, they have already raised 91% of their $1,750 goal fundraising goal! The team hosted a fundraiser each month at their clinic, kicking it all off in February with a Warm your Hearts and Souls Day where they offered unlimited soup bowls for $10. This event raised $250. The team kept the momentum going with a March Madness event, which raised an additional $190. After all of the hard work, Team Heart Throbs hosted a root beer float day in April to thank their donors. On May 10, the team hosted a nacho bar charging $5 for all you can eat nachos, raising an additional $110.

“I wasn’t sure how this would go because it’s the first year our clinic has done something like this,” Hoen explained. “The donations have already far surpassed my expectations.”

You can donate to any Children’s employee team, or register to raise funds for any program that holds a special place in your heart!
