Study finds that children cannot distinguish real guns from toy guns

Dr. Angela Kade Goepferd, director of medical education, shared her perspective on a newly released study finding that most children cannot tell real guns from toy guns. Dr. Goepferd stated that the real take-home message from this study is that because real guns and toy guns look remarkably similar, it is up to pediatricians to educate parents on responsible gun ownership, especially safe storage.
