That’s why Children’s Minnesota continues to leverage community health needs assessments (CHNAs) to actively engage our partners across various social sectors to improve the health of the children and families we serve.
To be every family’s essential partner in raising healthier children, we’re committed to hearing from families and collaborating with community leaders and organizations. As extensive as our expertise is, it will never equal the insight children, families and communities have about their own health and well-being.

The 2022 CHNA builds on the 2019 assessment and implementation strategy by engaging partners in conversations about our 2019 CHNA priorities, while also considering the impact of recent local and global events.

2019
Children’s Minnesota completed its 2019 CHNA in December 2019. The 2019 assessment was designed to build upon key learnings from 2016 as well as efforts to address priorities through investments in services and community relationships. The assessment process, similar to 2016, gathered input from the community and Children’s Minnesota staff and reviewed existing data to identify critical needs.

2016
Children’s Minnesota completed its 2016 CHNA in December 2016. The assessment was guided by a Community Advisory Committee throughout 2016, approved by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors on December 13, 2016 and made available online December 31, 2016.
