Girls who are 10 or 11 may start noticing the hair on their legs, especially if it's dark in color instead of blond. Some may want to shave it and others may not be bothered by it. If your leg hair is bothering you, talk to your mom or dad about shaving. If they say no, talk with them about when they think it will be OK to start.
Whenever that day comes, you'll need a razor, of course, and some kind of shave gel or soap that foams well. But you'll also need a lesson in shaving. Ask your mom or an older female relative to show you how. If you rush into it, you could cut your leg. Ouch!
