Overview

At Children’s Minnesota, the pharmacy prepares and dispenses medications, which includes all oral, intravenous, chemotherapy and total parenteral nutrition. The department also:

• Assesses patient’s response to medication therapy against intended outcomes of care
• Monitors patient’s medication therapy
• Provides outpatient pharmacy prescription services
• Conducts clinical research to further advance drug therapy for children
• Provides an extensive mentoring program that prepares new pharmacists to work with the unique drug needs of newborns, children and adolescents
• Provides home care pharmacy infusion services
