Overview
At Children’s Minnesota, the pharmacy prepares and dispenses medications, which includes all oral, intravenous, chemotherapy and total parenteral nutrition. The department also:- Assesses patient’s response to medication therapy against intended outcomes of care
- Monitors patient’s medication therapy
- Provides outpatient pharmacy prescription services
- Conducts clinical research to further advance drug therapy for children
- Provides an extensive mentoring program that prepares new pharmacists to work with the unique drug needs of newborns, children and adolescents
- Provides home care pharmacy infusion services
