MINNEAPOLIS (Sept., 28, 2020) – Children’s Minnesota announced that Beth Musser has been named vice president of revenue services.
“With more than 20 years of experience working in revenue services and almost 30 years in health care, Beth brings a tremendous amount of experience in revenue cycle strategy and top-tier revenue management to Children’s Minnesota,” said Brenda McCormick, senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Children’s Minnesota. “Beth is known for her ability to innovate across the revenue cycle and for her drive to challenge the status quo to advance the organization. Her broad experience in health care, whether in physician practice or consulting, combined with her proven track record of achieving significant operational improvement projects, make her a tremendous addition to Children’s Minnesota as we continue to deliver high-value, efficient revenue cycle services.”
As vice president of revenue services, Musser is responsible for all areas of revenue, including assessing, identifying and implementing strategies to improve current revenue cycle performance, in partnership with leaders and teams across the organization. She oversees and coordinates the system-wide process for the end-to-end revenue cycle functions, including patient access, health information management, patient financial services, billing, coding, regulatory compliance, accounts receivable, and budgeting and reporting.
Prior to joining Children’s Minnesota, Musser served in a number of progressive leadership roles at University of Minnesota Physicians over the span of 20 years including within the finance team, where she led a number of operational improvement initiatives, including the transition to a new integrated electronic health-practice management solution. Previously, she was a senior consultant at McGladrey & Pullen, LLC, where she partnered with health care organizations on work process improvements, strategic planning, financial analysis and more. Musser completed her master of arts in health care administration and her bachelor of business administration in finance at the University of Iowa.
