Children’s Minnesota has been recognized as one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals in 2024 in the specialty of pediatric oncology and hematology by Newsweek and market research firm Statista.
The cancer and blood disorders program at Children’s Minnesota cares for the most children diagnosed with cancer or a blood disorder in Minnesota. In addition to offering advanced, individualized care for newly diagnosed children, teens and young adults up to age 26, the program also provides innovative treatment for rare, relapsed and recurrent cancers. It is also part of several research groups that perform clinical trials aimed at early detection, treatment and limiting side effects.
The Newsweek rankings were based on several factors including a nationwide online survey, hospital quality metrics and results from pediatric experience surveys. The hospitals were ranked in eight specialties: cardiology and cardiac surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, neonatology, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology and hematology, pulmonology and thoracic surgery, and orthopedics.
