Children’s Minnesota oncologist presents Grand Rounds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 

Dr. Kris Ann SchultzDr. Kris Ann Schultz, pediatric oncologist, Children’s Minnesota, provided Grand Rounds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Nashville, Tennessee) on Jan. 27, 2022. ​Over 180 national and international physicians, students and researchers participated virtually in the session titled: “DICER1: Bedside to Bench and Back Again.”

About Dr. Schultz and her work

Dr. Schultz is a renowned expert and leading researcher on rare tumors. At Children’s Minnesota she is scientific director of cancer and blood disorders and focuses her research on improving outcomes for children, adolescents and young adults with DICER1-related cancers.

As the principal investigator for the International Pleuropulmonary Blastoma (PPB)/DICER1 Registry and the principal investigator and founder of the International Ovarian and Testicular Stromal Tumor (OTST) Registry, Dr. Schultz, and Children’s Minnesota, have become internationally recognized for collaborative research to advance care for children with rare tumors. For her extraordinary efforts, Dr. Schultz was named the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic Endowed Chair in Cancer and Blood Disorders research in 2020.
