Rock the Cradle — a free day of family fun with The Current and Children’s Minnesota

Are these cold winter days making your kids a little antsy? Get your family out of the house and enjoy a free day of music, dancing, art and fun at Rock the Cradle, sponsored by The Current and Children’s Minnesota. It’s a free event for kids and their grown-ups.

What: Rock the Cradle 2018
When: 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018
Where: Minneapolis Institute of Art and Children’s Theatre Company, 2400 Third Ave. S., Minneapolis
Admission: Free – recommended for kids ages 2-8 (and their grownups)

There is something for the whole family — musical performances, hands-on activities, engaging experiences with station hosts and plenty of surprises along the way.

Join Children’s Minnesota for fun throughout the day

  • Children’s Minnesota Amazing Kid Zone – Play, read and share your amazing creativity with Children’s Minnesota. Enjoy winter-themed story times with fun art projects and music activities.
  • Join Twinkle, the Children’s Minnesota mascot, on the dance floor in the Kid’s Disco, or lounge in comfy chairs and play with fun toys.
  • Give the giant wheel a spin and collect a fantastic prize.
  • Need a quiet space? Step into the Family Room for downtime.
