Get to know Jill!

Tell us about your role and how long you’ve worked at Children’s Minnesota.

I manage the staffing and scheduling departments at Children’s Minnesota. I’ve been at Children’s Minnesota for almost one year.

What inspired you to work at Children’s Minnesota?

After working with a few other health care systems, I was looking for something different. I started by looking for a company that really embraced diversity and promoted employee wellness. I also had connections with others who had previously or were currently working for Children’s Minnesota and they all spoke highly of the system.

Do you have a favorite memory with the Asian ERG?

So far, I have really enjoyed getting to know the Asian ERG members and leadership. It has been a great way to diversify my contacts within Children’s Minnesota. I’ve also really enjoyed meeting individuals within other ERGs.

How are you celebrating South Asian Heritage Month?

My celebrations started with the ERG events. Beyond that, I admittedly am just beginning to explore and celebrate South Asian Heritage Month.

Are there any local South Asian businesses that people should know about?

Anyone who knows me knows I love food! There are so many great South Asian restaurants throughout St. Paul and Minneapolis. I don’t want to call out any one restaurant, however, I recently had an amazing brunch at Diane’s Place in Minneapolis! I would highly recommend exploring as there are a plethora of new cafes, coffee shops and restaurants out there to enjoy!
