Summer Nurse Internship

Children’s Minnesota offers a Summer Nurse Internship for pre-licensure nursing students the summer between junior and senior year. This paid internship allows nursing students to experience working in a clinical setting under the direct supervision of a clinical nurse.

Key dates

Application available: End of October to beginning of December
Interviews anticipated: January
Offers anticipated end of January/beginning of February
Internship dates: First Monday of June through first week of August – 10 weeks

Eligibility

Students currently enrolled in an Associates, Bachelor’s, or pre-licensure Master’s nursing program with graduation anticipated within 12 months of internship. Interns must be enrolled in a summer academic course and complete required coursework while participating in the program. Students must complete full duration of internship. All exceptions or special circumstances must be discussed during the interview process.

Housing

Children’s Minnesota funded housing is not available for Summer Nurse Interns. Out-of-state interns would be expected to find and resource their own housing if selected for the internship.
