Many parents offer kids this additional freedom around 11 or 12. It's fun to be on your own with your friends, and you will probably feel pretty grown up! Also, stay safe by not talking to strangers or wandering off somewhere other than where you're supposed to be.

Keep in touch with your mom or dad and be sure to be exactly where you said you'd be when it's pickup time. That way, they'll be more likely to say "yes" when you ask for another trip to the movies!
