Bronchiolitis is an infection in the respiratory tract. It affects the tiny airways (called bronchioles) in the lungs, which can make it hard to breathe. It's caused by a virus, but usually is not serious and will go away quickly if you rest and drink a lot. Bronchiolitis is very contagious, but washing your hands can help keep you from getting it.
