Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Note: This high-calorie recipe is especially for kids and teens with cystic fibrosis (CF), who may need additional calories to meet their nutritional needs.

Smoothies are a great way to add extra calories and protein to your diet.

Prep time: 10 minutes

What you need:

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 banana
  • 1-1/4 cups strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3/4 cup lemon sherbet
  • 2 tablespoons dry skim milk powder

What to do:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.

  • 432 calories
  • 8g protein
  • 26g fat
  • 250mg calcium
  • 115mg sodium

Serves: 2
