A gait trainer is a supportive walking aid for kids who need help walking and who need to strengthen their leg muscles. Gait trainers are often used in therapy and in school.

Is a Gait Trainer Right for My Child?

Kids who need help walking and can hold up their head, sit with minimal support, and bear some weight on their legs might need a gait trainer. If your child wants to walk but needs more support than they get from a walker, a gait trainer might be a good choice.

Are Gait Trainers Covered by Insurance?

Gait trainers are ususally covered by insurance, but you might need to get proof of medical need from your child's doctor.
