Teen rooms

Because Children’s Minnesota knows teens have significantly different needs than younger patients, we have areas specifically designed for teens in each our hospitals.

About our teen rooms

The teen rooms are a special space dedicated just to teens (13 years old and older), where they can escape the beeps of machines and relax in a comfortable, home-like environment.

In response to recommendations from the Youth Advisory Council and thanks to help from Magnolia/Best Buy, patients and their siblings and friends are able to enjoy a space that feels more like a state-of-the-art basement and less like a hospital. The space features a 65-inch flat panel TV, several gaming systems, leather theater chairs, a computer desk, gaming table, and many DVDs and games.
