Children’s Minnesota neurosurgery program recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as a top spine and neuroscience program

Children’s Minnesota is thrilled to announce Becker’s Hospital Review recognized the organization’s neurosurgery program on its list of 70 hospitals and health systems with spine and neuroscience programs to know in 2023. According to the online health care publication, our neurosurgery program joins other health systems nationwide that are renowned for their excellent outcomes, leading surgical techniques and cutting-edge research. Becker’s Hospital Review explains the organizations on its list also feature leaders and top specialists in the field, robust research programs and innovative clinical trials.

Children’s Minnesota’s neurosurgery program  is the only one in the Upper Midwest that’s part of a comprehensive health system dedicated exclusively to children. The program cares for more kids than any other neurosurgery department in the area, and includes:

• North America’s only pediatric iMRI neurosurgery suite equipped with both moving-scanner and moving-patient MRI technology in the same surgical space.
• One of the largest pediatric epilepsy centers in the country, and the only pediatric Level 4 epilepsy center in Minnesota.
• The largest pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumor program in Minnesota.
• Active participation in nationwide research projects designed to improve care.
