Yinka Ajose MBA, BSN, RN, PHN, senior director of clinical operations at Children’s Minnesota, has been appointed to the Governor’s Children’s Cabinet Advisory Council. The advisory council seeks to have representation from health care leaders like Yinka, who provide valuable perspective in their role serving children and families, especially those from diverse and underrepresented communities.
At Children’s Minnesota, Yinka is responsible for providing the overall strategic direction and leadership of clinical operations within patient care services.
“I am honored to serve the state of Minnesota in my new role on the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Council,” Yinka said. “I am committed to bringing my knowledge, skills and lived experiences in health care to ensuring underrepresented children and families in our state are seen and heard by our government systems, to promote equity for all children.”
Advisory council members are appointed for four-year terms and provide recommendations and guidance to the Governor’s Children’s Cabinet. The Minnesota Children’s Cabinet is one of 30 such state cabinets across the country. These cabinets bring efficiency and effectiveness to state government efforts to improve child and youth outcomes.
