Children’s Minnesota Specialty Center – Lakeville honored for outstanding design

Lakeville specialty center interiorChildren’s Minnesota’s new specialty center in Lakeville has been recognized for design by Minnesota Physician. The center is featured in the journal’s Health Care Architecture and Design Honor Roll 2021. The award honors outstanding achievement in the design of new health care facilities.

The Children’s Minnesota Specialty Center – Lakeville provides outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services including occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy in a family-friendly environment for children of all ages. The center features patient rooms, colorful small gyms and meeting rooms. The location also offers an adolescent mental health day program designed to meet the needs of each individual child as well as heart care.

Twin Cities-based design firm BDH was the architect/interior designer for the Lakeville project.

Ten projects are featured in the Health Care Architecture and Design Honor Roll 2021. The full list and descriptions can be found on Minnesota Physician’s website.
