Dr. Marc Gorelick explains impact of toxic stress on kids

Dr. Marc Gorelick, president and CEO, sat down with KARE11’s Breaking the News to discuss the impact toxic stress, such as the stress caused when a child is separated from their family at the border, has on children. Dr. Gorelick explained that the effects can be lifelong, as these emotions cause a chemical reaction in the body meaning the potential for intellectual, mental and physical harm.
