In the heat of summer and throughout the rest of the year, kids treated at Children’s Minnesota will now be able to enjoy ice pops thanks to a generous ongoing donation by Hy-Vee, Jel Sert and the American Childhood Cancer Organization.
In 2010, Jel Sert and the ACCO launched the “Take a Pop, Share a Smile” program, designed to help childhood cancer and other pediatric patients across the country. Hy-Vee has recently joined that partnership and expanded the program in the midwest.
As the state’s largest nonprofit pediatric health system, Children’s relies on the generosity of the community to provide the highest quality, family-centered health care that so many children and families rely on each year.
“Generous donations from our community make a huge impact on the experience kids have while in the hospital,” said Joy Johnson-Lind, senior director of child and family services at Children’s Minnesota. “We are grateful for this support and the smiles it’ll bring to our amazing kids!”
