Getting a second opinion on your high-risk pregnancy and complex fetal diagnosis
A complex fetal diagnosis can be difficult and overwhelming. Seeking a second opinion can help you understand your options and help you make the best decision for your family.
You can seek a second opinion after receiving a diagnosis of a complex fetal condition. Our fetal care program can diagnose and treat a full range of congenital diseases and other high-risk conditions.
If your current provider has talked you through your options, a second opinion may increase your confidence in your diagnosis and treatment plan.
How to request a second opinion
- Contact your doctor and ask that they fill out and fax back our referral form.
- As soon as we have received your information and records, our nurse coordinator will contact you to schedule a second opinion appointment.
- After your appointment at Midwest Fetal Care Center, we will provide a second opinion and any recommendations to you and your primary doctor.
