Children’s Minnesota recognized as Right Track’s first Employer of the Year

We are excited to share that Children’s Minnesota has been selected as the recipient of the City of Saint Paul’s 2023 Right Track program’s first ever Employer of the Year!

This award recognizes an exceptional employer partner who goes above and beyond to provide meaningful workforce readiness and career exploration experiences for Right Track interns.

“Children’s Minnesota has demonstrated a strong commitment to creating exposure to careers in STEM and Health Sciences. From providing high quality internships experiences, serving on panels, engaging in discussion on racial equity in STEM careers, to providing meaningful feedback and more,” said a statement announcing the award. “Children’s Minnesota is a leader in workforce development and a highly valued employer partner.”

James Burroughs, senior vice president, government and community relations, chief equity and inclusion officer at Children’s Minnesota, said of this award, “Children’s Minnesota is honored to receive this award from the City of Saint Paul. Our vision to be every family’s essential partner in raising healthier children means we have to recruit and retain the most talented employees who reflect the rich diversity of the communities we serve. Right Track has allowed us to cultivate and develop students at the internship level with the plan of continuing to grow this amazing source of top talent in the future. We’re proud to partner with schools and community organizations to increase the presence of Black, Indigenous, Asian and Latino people in STEM careers.”
