We offer comprehensive care to include: neurology, neurosurgery, neurointerventional radiology, hematology, physical therapy, genetics, neuropsychology, and social work.

Regional leaders: We are the only pediatric facility in the region with this kind of surgical expertise.

Advanced technology: We use intraoperative MRI for precise imaging during surgery.

Clinical guidelines: We have worked with multiple subspecialists to create guidelines and protocols for identifying and treating strokes.

Research: We actively engage in the advancement of treatment through international research collaborations such as the International Pediatric Stroke Study (IPSS)

Transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD): TDC is a safe and painless method to check blood flow in the brain. It’s especially useful for children with sickle cell disease who are at risk of strokes. By regularly measuring blood flow speeds, TCD helps monitor changes and detect if strokes have happened.
