Surgery center tours

Children’s Minnesota offers optional surgery center tours designed to help parents, siblings and other family members learn what to expect before, during and after surgery. Our child life specialists lead the tours. They teach the family what to expect throughout their surgery experience, in an age-appropriate way.

Tours include:

A tour of the surgery center.
The opportunity for children to explore and learn about the day of surgery.
The chance for parents to meet with staff and have their questions answered.

Find the tour hours and information below for the Children’s Minnesota location where your child will have surgery. You must register by noon on the day of the tour.

Please note, registering your family for a surgery center tour is different than registering your child for the surgery. A tour is optional, but you must register your child for surgery.
